Nimal & Kumari Fernando
Born and raised near Sinharaja, Nimal and Kumari have spent decades protecting and learning from the rainforest. They welcome guests as extended family and share their knowledge of nature, wildlife, and sustainable living. Their warmth and passion for conservation make every stay meaningful.

Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability. Please contact us in advance to arrange.
Cancel up to 5 days before check-in for a full refund. After that, 50% of the total amount will be charged. No-shows will be charged the full booking amount.
Due to the nature trails and wildlife environment, we recommend this stay for children aged 6 and above. Extra bedding is available on request at no additional charge.

- Respect wildlife and do not feed animals
- Minimal plastic use encouraged
- Stay on marked trails during walks
- Comfortable, lightweight clothing
- Sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots
- Rain jacket or poncho (rainforest!)

The dry season from December to April offers the best conditions for rainforest walks and bird watching. However, Sinharaja is beautiful year-round, and the monsoon months bring their own magic with lush greenery and fewer visitors.
